Dr Victor Rambau's research area broadly includes comparative cytogenetics (including molecular cytogenetics) and phylogeography of small mammals. His ultimate aim is to test (i) the utility of characters defined by chromosomal landmarks to address evolutionary relationships among Rodents, and (ii) utility of molecular sequence markers to shed more light on evolutionary processes that undepin diversification and speciation.
