Karin Wiss is an admitted attorney, conveyancer, notary, and sworn translator. After spending a number of years in practice, she joined Stellenbosch University at the end of 2009. She is responsible for a variety of academic and non-academic functions, including but not limited to Faculty budgeting, aspects of human resource management, strategic initiatives within the Faculty, enrolment planning (including recruitment and selection of students), internationalisation (including student exchange programmes), the structured LLM programmes, readmissions, and timetabling. Mrs Wiss serves on various committees in the wider University structure, including the Welcoming Programme Committee, Timetabling Committee, Faculty Managers Forum, Media Forum, and Alumni Forum
