Thabiso Matsolo, system support specialist at IT general support services

Thabiso is truly an inspiration to all of us at Information Technology and a model of what is possible if you believe in yourself and focus on the right goals.

Thabiso started as a cleaner who wanted a career in IT based on a long-standing interest in the field. He started with short courses and worked his way up, assisted by sponsors who believed in him, and was employed at Stellenbosch University after some years of working elsewhere in IT environments. At SU, he worked his way up to system support specialist in IT. He obtained his bachelor's degree and is currently continuing his postgraduate studies.
