Our Programmes

BCom (Industrial Psychology)

In our undergraduate programme, we lay the foundation for students to understand the basic theories, principles and applications of human behaviour and managing people in the workplace. People form the bedrock of organisations, and understanding, developing and enabling people are critical for organisational effectiveness. Our undergraduate qualification is an essential requirement for further postgraduate studies that could lead to professional registration as psychometrists or industrial psychologists.

BA (Human Resource Management)

Human Resources Management and Industrial Psychology are two sides of the same coin. Where Industrial Psychology focuses on the behavioural aspects of human behaviour, Human Resource Management focuses on the management of people such as hiring, training, compensation, and employee relations. It’s more practice-oriented and administrative.

Postgraduate programmes

Postgraduate Diploma: Strategic Human Resource Management

The PGDip in Strategic HR Management provides an opportunity to graduates in any field seeking to augment their qualifications with core HR Management knowledge and skills as well as to examine the strategic application of the HR function in organisations. The qualification’s key output is positioning the human resource (HR) function at a strategic level in an organisation by enabling HR professionals to influence key strategic decision-making processes in the executive boardrooms.

BPsych Equivalence programme

The BPsych Equivalence Programme is an accredited short course that supplements the BCom Hons (Industrial Psychology) academic programmes with the professional and theoretical skills required to meet the learning outcomes and practical exposure to register as a psychometrist independent practice. The programme is multi-disciplinary and includes prospective applicants with an Honours degree in Education, Counselling and Clinical Psychology. Participants are expected to complete the BPsych Equivalence Programme in parallel with a full time 6-month internship under the supervision of a registered psychometrist or psychologist.

Honours in Industrial Psychology or Human Resource Management

Our Honours programmes consist of full-time, advanced coursework in the disciplines of Industrial Psychology and Human Resources Management respectively, to equip our students with advanced people management skills and prepare them for leadership roles.

Master’s in Industrial Psychology

Industrial Psychology is one of the fastest growing professions in the world.
