OVERVIEW & STAFF
The Unit for Psychotherapeutic and Support Services offers professional support and counselling to students who are experiencing personal, professional, academic and mental health challenges.
OUR SERVICES
The Unit provides students with free and confidential individual and group counselling sessions for challenges ranging from anxiety, tension, home or university trauma and loss, low self-esteem to alcohol and substance abuse.
STUDENT EXPERIENCES
In collaboration with our students and the Division: Student Affairs, we have embarked on a project to tell some of the stories of SU students and their challenges with trauma, and mental and psychological health.
RESOURCES
We have made several additional resources available, in case you need it.
FAQs
Always ask if you are unsure. You are most welcome to approach a staff member with a request or question. If they cannot help you straight away, they will direct you to the person who is able to best support you.
FOOD ASSISTANCE
The Unit realises that many students face challenges around access to food. We have a food assistance programme in place to assist SU students should you need support.
