​​The call for the Teaching-learning-assessment (TLA) Excellence Awards 2025 is now open. These institutional awards recognise and celebrate excellence in teaching-learning-assessment across Stellenbosch University.

Award categories:

• Distinguished Teacher Award – for experienced teaching scholars who demonstrate sustained excellence and leadership in TLA.
• Emerging Teacher Award – for early-career lecturers who show emerging excellence and reflective, contextually grounded TLA practice.

Permanently appointed academics who meet the criteria are invited to develop a portfolio and apply. Applications must be endorsed by the relevant Faculty Dean or Vice-Dean (Learning & Teaching).

Closing date: 28 February 2026
