Resources

This page provides guidelines from Stellenbosch University, along with practical support, examples from colleagues, and further reading on the ethical, learning-centred use of AI in teaching, learning and assessment. These resources can be used to understand SU’s approach to GenAI, find a starting point for your own teaching, or see what others are already doing.

University-wide Resources

The table below provides a university-wide, foundational overview of GenAI in teaching, learning and assessment resources, including those from the Division for Learning and Teaching Enhancement, the Stellenbosch University Library and the Division for Research Development. As the AI landscape evolves, so too will SU’s learning-centred approach, incorporating examples of good practice and ethical applications and adapting the resources below as necessary. As responsible AI use in teaching, learning and assessment is context-specific, many faculties have used the resources below to craft specific resources for their environment. Therefore, please check whether your faculty has a resource to further support your approach to GenAI in teaching, learning, and assessment in your discipline.
