Suzette has been a part of the Finance division for many years and is one of those colleagues we can always turn to, to get the job done. Suzette never complains about doing “double duty". She doesn't hesitate to work overtime to ensure all the work is completed on time since researchers depend on the financials to comply with contract requirements. More recently, as part of her duties to compile financial statements for research contracts, she had to stand in for a colleague who was booked off for a few months on sick leave.

She must also juggle the financial statements between preparation, meetings with the researchers, and sign-off by the Director: Financial Services. She manages to balance all these activities extremely well and tries her best to accommodate everybody, many times being the person between Finance and the researchers/academics.

Despite the pressure she is under, Suzette always manages to smile, be enthusiastic, stay calm, and get the job done on time. She's been compiling all the research financial statements on her own for quite some time now and is widely acknowledged for her high quality of work – and for the fact that she does so with her wonderful, positive attitude.
