The Centre for Academic Administration at the Tygerberg Campus supports Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS) students at every stage of their academic journey, from application to graduation. We ensure academic processes run smoothly so students can focus on their studies, while we take responsibility for administrative tasks.

Our Work

The Division has the following focus areas

We manage and coordinate a wide range of academic support services for FMHS students. These include applications and registrations, academic records, faculty committee support, assessments, disciplinary processes, residence placements and bursary management. We also support postgraduate admissions and the coordination of Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and the South African Nursing Council (SANC) registrations. By working closely with faculty leadership and national regulatory bodies, we ensure academic administration is accurate, compliant and supportive of student success.
