The Department of Geography and Environmental Studies investigates the dynamic interactions among people, places and the environment. BA Honours in Geography and Environmental Studies

BA Honours in Geographical Information Systems

Explore the study of the systematic disciplines of urban or tourism geography, in-depth knowledge of, and advanced skills in, the basic principles of geographical information systems and their application in a human geographical research field.

BSc Honours in Geoinformatics

Learn to manage and analyse spatial data using cutting-edge technologies, preparing for a professional career in geoinformatics.

MA in Geography and Environmental Studies

This research-based programme allows you to investigate and address pressing environmental and urban issues from a spatial perspective.

MSc in Geography and Environmental Studies

Conduct advanced spatial research on human-environmental challenges, gaining the expertise needed for leadership roles in environmental science.

MSc in Geoinformatics

Conduct advanced research on the development, implementation, management and application of spatial technologies for managing resources, and for spatial analysis and modelling of environmental geographical phenomena and problems. 

PhD in Geography and Environmental Studies A

Focus on the study and resolution of human-environmental and urban or tourism-related problems and phenomena from a spatial perspective. Admission requires an MA degree in Geography and Environmental Studies.

PhD in Geography and Environmental Studies B

Focus on the study and resolution of environmental problems and phenomena from a spatial perspective. Admission requires an MSc degree in Geography and Environmental Studies.

PhD in Geoinformatics

Develop innovative spatial technologies and conduct in-depth research on environmental and geographical phenomena.
