At the Division of Radiobiology, housed within the Department of Medical Imaging and Clinical Oncology, our work has led to concrete breakthroughs in patient care. We developed a novel dosimetry protocol that has significantly reduced treatment errors and improved the safety of radiation therapy. Our team’s research in identifying precise imaging biomarkers has enabled more personalised cancer treatment, tailoring radiation doses to the unique response of each patient’s tissue.
We have also published influential studies on radiation-induced cellular repair mechanisms that have reshaped clinical guidelines and informed new treatment strategies. Our work modelling how cells respond to radiation has contributed to targeted radiotherapy approaches that minimise side effects while maximising therapeutic effectiveness. These achievements reflect our commitment to turning laboratory discoveries into tangible improvements in healthcare for cancer patients.
